a story to help people not let fears stop them from doing thing..

Hugo was walking down the street with his cape flowing in the wind as he made his way to the end of the block he stopped and stared in to the distance. Hugo was an odd man he thought of him self as sort of an armature superhero. Hugo dressed in a batman suit he had modified to fit his specific needs. Even though he did not have any super powers he made up for it in the pure skills he had. Hugo wasn’t a tall man or was he very strong; he was actually a kind of average looking guy.   

Tonight Hugo was gong to do well he was going to catch a bad guy….. Ok he was going to see a bad guy and call the cops and tell them where he was. Courage was another thing Hugo seemed to be lacking; he had never caught a criminal on his own. Hugo had always called the cops and never engaged the wrong doers himself. It seemed like every time he saw someone doing something wrong he got a feeling inside and he couldn’t let them get away but whenever he started to go over he froze and reached for his phone. It was the same thing every time Hugo even told himself he was going to go stop them but he couldn’t do it.

Hugo couldn’t think about that right now he had a job to do. He started on the normal path he took most nights. Not much was happening tonight “they must have heard Hugo was around,” he thought to himself as he walked down the empty street. He had made his way down two blocks and had seen nothing, he started to think it was a slow night and everything was fine. As he got to the end of the third block Hugo could hear people struggling in an ally way. Hugo looked down the ally. A man was stealing a woman’s purse.

Hugo took a step forward and felt the fear building up inside of him, as he reached for his phone he felt a sense of shame rush over him. Instead of calling for help he was going to do something tonight. Hugo took a deep breath and yelled “let go of that purse.” The man looked down the ally way and saw Hugo standing in his best supper hero pose. The man laughed and started to walk towards Hugo. At that moment the one hit the man in the back of the head with a rock. They called the cops and they arrested the man. It was Hugo’s first actual crime prevention kind of but he felt good none the less.
