story continuation (A Letter To Those Whom Come After Us)

We have been traveling for at least a month now, a destination is still unknown to us. Every day the whispers grow louder with the trees that now are so tall they eclipse the sun. the group's hushed tones are not lost on our leader. You can see it in his face, he is as lost as the rest of us. The only difference is he will not let it be known to those of us who have lost hope and now only see this as a pilgrimage to our deaths. The whispers are not solely about the  fear of being lost. I fear are captain's time on this earth is shorter then the rest of us on this god forsaken journey, he has to know this too. I can only hope that they give him a proper burial when the time comes to the point where their ever growing blood lust must be quenched.

I like the narrative voice of this piece--cold and dark. Well done. Sounds completely different than the other story you wrote. That's not easy to do:)
