The is a song I wrote that was inspire by an Every Time I Die song.
My love is the river and for so long I've wanted to be with her, but my pyromantic reunion will have to wait till I can bring this car to the bridge that lies over her flowing body.
The intoxication of the plunge is all that now is on my mind, but how can you blame me when she awaits looking so damn fine.
I must wait to be with my love till I can feel the warmth of your life dripping from my hands. After tonight I won't be the only one to meet my betrothed, we will meet her by the means of the road.
Tonight the words goodbye my friend will ring so true even though this night comes with such a deafening silence the sounds that will break through are the screams of the tires leaving the pavement and the ones from you.
The fire that I will bring will warm this night of despair. As I kiss my loves lips and her could embrace relinquishes my lungs of air.
The river is my love and home is where the heart is so it looks like I'm going home with my mechanical anchor leading the way.
As I leave the ground I will for the last time pray for forgiveness because I'm love sick and my mistress is one of decay.

The last line on this song really stuck with me. It's good to see someone else posting poetry/songs on the blog, good job.
wow. your lyrics are very deep and i think how they are not very straight forward. there is a lot of imagery present throughout the song. you incorporate some rhyming which helps add flow as well. wow.
Nice comments everyone...
Riehl...would be nice if you got back to your readers;)
