cue one

It was a dark and stormy night and the rain made it impossible to see as the young man drove his old pick up truck down the old dirt road. Usually he didn’t take this path because the road was so bad but tonight he was in a hurry and couldn’t waste any time. As he went further and further down the road he glanced at the clock on his dashboard with each passing minute his hart pounded faster and faster in his chest.

All the young man could think now was, if he was going to get there in time he feared what would happen if he did not but he couldn’t think about that and every time he thought of that he pushed it out of his mind. He turned on the radio for the hundredth time or so it seemed and listened for a brief moment but turned it off again he had to stay focused and couldn’t let his mind wonder. that was the problem his mind because every moment he was left alone with it he started to think again whether or not he was going to make it.

At this point his hart was about to explode out of his chest and he didn’t know if he could stand the feeling anymore. He glanced at the clock again and saw that he only had 15 more minutes to get there and pushed down the gas pedal as far as it would go. Tiring down the dirt road pebbles flying everywhere he had a new thought. His old thought of will I get there in time was replaced with I need to get there and now he could see the dim light of a building in the distance. Seeing the building made him feel warmth like the sun was on his face. he looked back at the clock that seemed to be the accomplice to his thoughts of doubt and as he looked at the time he saw he only had a minute to spare he pulled up the old building and got out of his car slamming the door behind him and ran to the door of the building and with a quick turn of the door knob he saw what he had been racing for.
